About this property

Welcome to Days Inn by Wyndham Mackinaw City - Lakeview

Days Inn by Wyndham Mackinaw City - Lakeview is a straightforward lakeside hotel situated just a minute's walk from the Arnold Mackinac Island Ferry terminal. Its location offers easy access to Mackinac Island State Park and other popular nearby attractions such as the Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse and Headlands International Dark Sky Park. The property provides a convenient base for visitors seeking outdoor activities and sightseeing on the waterfront.

The hotel combines elements of a hotel, inn, and motel, featuring an indoor pool and a shuttle service to a nearby casino. Free WiFi and breakfast consisting mainly of muffins and coffee are also included. Guest reviews note that rooms are clean and comfortable, though somewhat dated, with some bathroom fixtures needing maintenance. The setting is generally quiet and welcoming, with particular mention of helpful, friendly staff at the front desk.

Accommodation choices are practical rather than luxurious, with easy check-in and check-out processes. Guests appreciate the property's pet-friendly policy and wheelchair-accessible rooms, although the absence of elevators means stairs are unavoidable for upper floors. The hotel is located within a safe area and close to other waterfront hotels, allowing visitors to explore the local scene on foot.

While some guests found the breakfast offerings limited and the décor in need of updating, the hotel's lakeside position, convenient ferry access, and value-for-money appeal suit travelers prioritizing location and basic amenities over upscale features. This makes it particularly suitable for visitors who plan to spend most of their time exploring the surrounding natural and historic sites.

We made a last minute booking here for 1 night. We got a king room. The room was clean and appeared to have been updated recently, (new flooring, cabinets, wall art). The bathroom was a little outdated, the shower head didn't work well and the tub didn't drain well, and the shower faucet is on backwards. There is a small window in the bathroom for ventilation but it has no screen, so when going to reach for a towel (which is located on a shelf directly under said window) there were 2-3 large spiders that had taken up residence in the window. It was a good place to just stop on for a night to get to the next place.

Wasn't a bad place to stay some cobwebs in the room other than that it was pretty clean. Beautiful view right on the water. Grew up in Erie with sunrises over lake Erie but this was something different! And to full moon from the dark sky Park 5 minutes from the hotel was amazing!!!

Great location near the Mackinac Island ferry. Great value for the money. Room was clean but dated. Plenty of free parking. Easy check-in and checkout online.

We needed a handicap room on the first floor as there are no elevators in the hotel, only steps. They easily complied. Our room was very convenient and they also welcomed our golden doodle. Certain small wildlife came right up to the building. This hotel is at the far end of the hotel row. The area is safe to walk even at night. You have to ask to have the room freshened up each day and a tip is expected. The hotel is an older one so past repairs are visible at times thinking that it's a work in progress but looks fine from a distance. Our room was warm. It needed some furniture of which there was no table or desk or soft chair. It was a bit stark. But it was a handicap room so they may have had the room empty for a wheelchair. Next time I'm taking a power strip because there is a dearth of outlets. The beds were hard but great sleeping and the room was very adequate for our three days. Did I mention it is a waterside hotel but if you want to swim you'll need to use their indoor pool. No body swims the Shoreline here. Yes I would stay here again because of the price!

Upon arrival the front desk man was absolutely amazing. The room itself was clean and well decorated, AC was on full blast and the room cooled down within minutes. Not luxury by any means but it was very nice and comfortable. I honestly slept better in this bed than I did at my own house. Quiet at night and they gave us a bunch of coupons while we were here

Decent stay, but hotel needs some updating We stayed here mainly just to sleep, since we were out most of the day visiting a nearby city and UP. The room was okay—clean enough and served its purpose—but the hotel could use a little updating. Some wallpaper was peeling off, and the balcony really needed power washing due to bird droppings. As for breakfast, it was disappointing. They only offer muffins and coffee, and instead of a full breakfast, they give you a coupon for a restaurant where you still need to pay around $20.99 per person. The staff were polite and check-in/check-out was smooth. Overall, it’s okay for a short stay, but don’t expect too much.

Recently extended my work vacation with my wife during labor day. We decided to stay an extra day called, Devin was super sweet. There was no hidden nothing, decent price for a day of booking, especially for the location. I seen people complaining about the small breakfast but that was all mentioned when we decided to stay. They give you a bunch of coupons for places near by, which definitely came in handy. Personally think this place deserved wayyy better ratings than i’ve seen. No it’s not fully 5 star or super luxurious, but for a days inn I couldn’t have asked for more.

The Lady at the front desk was very friendly and nice. The breakfast was just muffin and coffee, so don’t expect to have a continental breakfast I like the fact that it was close to town and in walking distance
